This is my almost favourite: a hybrid inspired by passion and reason.

Love the colour and the whole design apart from one thing: the lights...always preferred the round-shaped lights...they look more friendly; still it is a beauty!!!

 Oh well, as technology develops at a rapid pace, nothing can stop these innovative designs.

It is one thing to own an expensive sports car: possibly a sort of privilege for the rich; but it is a totally different matter if one tries to put these innovations back to our everyday lives. Here I am thinking about transport used by all! What about electric buses,trains etc.

Let's close this 'interval' with a possible answer:

What's with the cars?

I don't have a TV, so I am watching programmes on my laptop with I-player. I realised yesterday that during breaks, 3out of 5 adverts are on cars......why is this happening all of a sudden???? out of these there was one inspired by environmental issues: the Toyota Hybrid Range.

So I got a bit curious about this, as so far I have only seen these electric cars running (or strolling) around London, and to be honest from a girl's point of view I don't find them attractive at all......not even with pink colour (just saw one on Friday near my workplace).....I decided to have a look around a bit and see what's out there. As I am really not an expert, I will not go into much technical details, just mostly looking at the photos ;)and related topics, issues...

The one for today:

ELECTRIC CARS:

An electric car is a plug-in battery powered automobile which is propelled by electric motor(s).

Pros and cons:

+ no emission at all

  (electricity could be more commonly produced by water and wind

+ energy efficient

- too heavy batteries can affect performance

- charging issues: 12hr to charge, availability of charging stations

- only 100 miles on a single charge, commuting is difficult, more for short-range city driving

The biggest - is the design for me....they look too compact and just not very trendy...I know you might think that it is not really the purpose of it anyway....but does it have to be ugly just because it is environmentally friendly????

For me they are not appealing at all...have a look and decide if you like it.

Soon I will  discover other sustainable cars with sleek designs, then you can pick and chose which one you prefer ;) and please comment on this: especially if you are using one, would be great to hear your opinions! Thanks.
